There are hundreds of thousands of stray animals in Greece and they all deserve a loving home. Unfortunately we can only bring over a small number due to the expenses involved. Below are photos and details of dogs who are currently ready for re-homing.
All GAR dogs are micro-chipped, vaccinated and sterilised (except puppies that are too young to be sterilised) and ‘prepared’ for entering the UK according to DEFRA requirements. In addition, they are blood-tested for tick-borne and other diseases. These tests are not required under the PETS travel scheme, but we feel they are important to ensure that adopted dogs are healthy.
All potential adopters must first be home-checked before one of our dogs moves in, and you will be visited by a volunteer from your area who will carry this check out and be able to answer any questions you have. GAR will not home a dog with cats, children under the age of 7 or in a home with no garden.
