Jenny the shepherd mix is a quite a gentle girl that had to learn to survive when she gave birth to 7 puppies in the ditch next to a very busy road. The puppies and Jenny were rescued by GAR volunteers and have been in foster ever since. Jenny has one ear missing, which is a common mutilation that shepherds carry out to make the dog look fierce. We think she escaped before the other ear was cut off. No doubt she has experienced abuse and torture so she will need a patient owner in a calm and quiet home to give her confidence. She is quite an outdoorsy type of dog and would like to live in a semi rural or rural environment where she can laze in the sunshine and feel safe doing so. Jenny is around four years’ old and ready to travel.
