LUCY has the saddest of faces and the saddest of stories. Abandoned by her owners family when they died, no longer wanted or allowed back into the only home she’d ever known. Thankfully a kindly neighbour took her in and sought help… so here she is… Our Lucy! thousands of miles from “home” looking for a family that will never abandon her again.
Lucy is an absolute sweetheart, a quiet, gentle, incredibly sweet girl, she will make such a lovely faithful companion. Clean in the house since she arrived, sleeps all night happily, LOVES her walks, fantastic on lead with no pulling at all, fantastic off lead (once you have bonded and do the recall work!)
When Lucy arrived she was initially guardy over her space with the other dogs, so we thought we would look at homes where she would be the only dog but she no longer does this and is very comfortable sharing her space with the other dogs so we are open to looking at homes with other dogs now if they are experienced. Lucy is perfect meeting both strangers and dogs on walks, she welcomes visitors to the home with a waggy tail. She has just started playing with a ball in the garden and showing a lovely playful side. On the journey over from Greece, Lucy suffered from travel sickness – she still does, so ideally we are looking for a home where they go for walks direct from the home or only have to drive a short way. Any longer journeys can be done by not feeding her for several hours before.
